Belinda Archer is a freelance journalist and author. She has contributed to various national publications including the Daily Mail, the Financial Times, The Times and The Guardian, as well as glossies such as Harper’s Bazaar and Tatler.
For the past few years Belinda has been focusing on writing novels: Looking for George, a circuitous love story, based loosely on real life, and Mixed Doubles, a bouncy rom-com set in a quintessentially English lawn tennis club. This has been published in both ebook and print formats and is available here on Amazon.
Belinda has also just published her third novel, Motherhood, a funny but poignant novel which explores the idea that there is more than one way to be a mother — women don’t need to actually give birth, they can nurture and love unconditionally and ‘mother’ in other ways.
This is now available here as both a print book or an ebook.
MOTHERHOOD
Sophie Hart wants a baby, badly. But first she needs to find the man of her dreams. Just a few weeks after declaring this grand plan to Gemma, her sexually incontinent, fashionista best friend, she meets a lovely lawyer called James. He is kind, witty, intelligent and – despite the ginger hair – perfect partner material.
Soon they fall in love and begin trying for a baby, but months go by and no baby. More months pass and still nothing. It seems that Mother Nature might have other plans.
Will Sophie finally achieve her goal? Will she welcome a child into the world, or will she discover that there is more than one way to be a mother? Can motherhood mean something other than simply giving birth?
