I live in deepest Northamptonshire with my partner George (the subject, indeed, of Looking for George, my first book) and our two dogs – Winston, a wise, 15 year-old Border Terrier, and Cyril, who is a rather more lunatic Border puppy.
I am a freelance journalist and have written about everything, from diving off the Great Barrier Reef to the death of Deirdre Barlow in Coronation Street.

My articles have appeared in all the nationals including the Daily Mail, the Financial Times, The Times and The Guardian, as well as glossies such as Harper’s Bazaar and Tatler.
For the past few years I’ve also been writing novels: Looking for George, a memoir of my rather colourful love life, and Mixed Doubles, a bouncy rom-com set in a quintessentially English country tennis club. I have just published my third novel, Motherhood, about a young woman’s mission to have a baby and her discovery that there is more than one way to be a mother.
When not writing I run a boutique B&B (have a look here), walk my dogs and play as much tennis as possible.
